Broadmead Leaders Earn Prestigious Awards

Robin Somers, Broadmead’s CEO will be one of several individuals honored with the Baltimore Business Journal’s Leaders in Health Care Award on Thursday, December 9th. The Leaders in Health Care Award recognizes individuals who are committed to improving care, educating the public or working on cutting-edge health care technology that helps develop the profession and leaves a lasting impact on the community.

Robin will be recognized for her work on positioning Broadmead’s Centers of Excellence in Dementia Care and Health and Wellness, the development of the Darlington Assisted Living Memory Care neighborhood, and for the renovations currently being completed on Hallowell Rehabilitation & Comprehensive Care Center.

Ann Patterson, Broadmead’s Vice President of Health Services was honored with the Excellence in Leadership Award on Tuesday, November 16th at <LeadingAge Maryland’s first Annual Member Awards. The Excellence in Leadership Award recognizes individuals who have demonstrated an exceptional commitment to building and promoting a sense of community; embracing diversity; promoting mentoring and collaborations; helping advance the field of aging services; and embodying the values and mission of their organization.

Ann epitomizes the values of not only our community mission and vision as a leader but also is the true definition of a servant leader. She displays an unmatched passion for serving older adults and enhancing their quality of life, passions and maximizing their potential for independence.
