Tales of Lutherville Railroad Station Shared with Broadmead

By Bob Fetter

Barrett Rudd shared his experience with his late wife Ann buying, restoring, and enjoying the Lutherville railroad station that was their primary residence. During the more than 30 years that they owned the historic facility, the Rudds gave careful attention to both the interior and exterior of the station building, a replacement for an earlier station that burned in 1872. They also refurbished with great care the gardens and grounds around the station.

Barrett has kept a variety of archival gems he found in the attic of the station building. The presentation to the Saturday Men's Social Group in February also included a history of Lutherville. Barrett's talk will be repeated for the entire Broadmead community in March in the Auditorium.
